In The Arctic
The following photographs were taken while traveling along the tundra below the Hudson Bay in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.
The polar bear is a hypercarnivorous bear whose native range lies largely within the Arctic Circle, and because of ongoing and potential loss of their sea ice habitat resulting from climate change, polar bears were listed as a threatened species in the US under the Endangered Species Act in May 2008.
